Why Steins;Gate Left Me Breathless (and Teary!)

Steins;Gate (TV Series)

Hi everyone,

It’s Tony here — I hope all is well!

I’m uploading a small review and sharing my thoughts on this anime series. Steins;Gate was produced by White Fox and released in 2011.

This anime series gave me an unforgettable experience. However, there is one caveat — you need to get past episode 3… literally. The first few episodes were really confusing for me. It felt like 20 TV channels merging together into three episodes of complete chaos. However, I managed to push through because of the quirky setup, and somehow it made me feel like things would get better.

Episode 4 felt like the point where the story truly begins. The gamble was worth it, and the journey was breathtaking.

I’m not usually a huge sci-fi fan; however, the pacing of this anime and the concept of the story make it feel like much more than just sci-fi. The emotions, the depth of the story, and the pacing are crafted in a way that keeps you completely engaged throughout. The intensity of the story keeps building, and it made me feel like I was investigating alongside the mad scientist, diving deeper into the rabbit hole of madness. The anime also delved into a lot of intense emotional scenes, and one of the scenes even squeezed some tears out of my eyes — it was truly unforgettable.

Another thing I really enjoyed about this series was the humour. The personalities of the main characters are very diverse, which makes the funny moments even better.

I was satisfied with the ending, although I did feel it dragged on a little toward the end. But the journey was so great that I really didn’t mind — because I didn’t want it to end. When an anime makes you feel sad that it’s over, you know you’ve watched something unforgettable, and this is certainly one of those series.

Overall, I would give this anime a 10/10. If you enjoy weird concepts that make sense in an intelligent way, packed with emotional scenes, funny moments, and conspiracy theories, then this is an anime I’m sure you will enjoy.
